What is the Educational Marketplace?
Following the phenomenal success of the interactive Marketplace at ICEM 2026 in Hamburg, IFEM 2027 is thrilled to announce its return. From 10–13 June 2027, the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre will transform into a vibrant, high-energy hub of hands-on learning, clinical gamification, and peer-to-peer knowledge exchange.
The Educational Marketplace is a radical departure from traditional academic poster halls and lecture slides. It is a live, dynamic space where educators, clinicians, and emergency care innovators from around the world host dedicated, interactive "stalls".
We are looking for hands-on activities, clinical escape rooms, gamified teaching tools, and innovative simulation methodologies. If you have an exciting way of teaching or practicing emergency medicine, this is your platform to let delegates experience it first-hand.
Examples of Successful Stalls
- Clinical escape rooms (e.g. ABG Analysis, Toxicology Decoders)
- Hands-on procedural activities (e.g. POCUS competitions, Nerve Block Sonoanatomy)
- Gamified learning (e.g. Primary Survey card games, Sports Medicine Case & Trace)
- Simulations (e.g. "Disaster in a Backpack")
Key Submission Parameters
- Topic of Stall — a clear, catchy title for your activity
- Description of Activity — a brief outline of how delegates will interact with your booth (maximum ~300 words)
- Logistics & Equipment — any physical props, simulators, or AV equipment you plan to bring
The application is free of charge and, like the abstract portal, allows up to 3 supporting documents, PDFs, or photos to be attached.
